About the artist Lynn Gundry - in her own words…

I first learned stained glass in Seattle during the late 70’s and worked many years for a professional studio in Snohomish, WA. As part of the "back to Mother Earth” movement, my family and I moved to West Virginia in 1984. Our mountain top farm, with poor access and no electricity, limited any ideas of doing stained glass as a living - we simply were too busy surviving our newly chosen life style.

Things have changed dramatically over the last 24 years.  Children are raised, road access is greatly improved (well, depending on the time of year), and those beautiful electric poles now grace our land.

In 1994, Labyrinth Art Glass was born. I have achieved success by producing custom oders, maintaining a juried show schedule and servicing wholesale accounts throughout the Eastern United States. Teaching has also been a passionate part of my business.  I love to share my enthusiasm of the art form and love to watch the evolution of artistic expression in my students.  I teach at the Mountain Made Studios in Thomas, West Virginia and am the head master instructor of the stain glass studio at Whispering Springs Haven.

My work is for sale through Tamarack in Beckley, West Virginia, the Mountain Made Gallery at Thomas, West Virginia  and at the Stonewall Resort at Roanoke, West Virginia.

Pictures of my work were chosen to be in The Library of Congress as part of their bicentennial, (1800 – 2000) Local Legacies Project.
