"My jewerly, sculptured wood and dreamcatchers are a reflection of my love of the natural world."
About the Artist Mary Redman in her own words…
I am a retired nurse. I moved to West Virginia 3 years ago from New Mexico. I have a long history in embroidery, drawing my own patterns and working with Japanese silk thread.
For two years I took beading lessons from Margo Field, a well known artist in the world of beading. Developing my own designs, I have been beading and selling my work at fine arts and craft fairs and galleries in the Southwest, West Virginia and New Jersey for 10 years.
I have a full product line of jewelry to include earrings, ribbon bracelets, necklaces, and amulet pouches.
In addition to my beadwork I make Native American Indian Dreamcatchers.
They are my meditations and a way of expressing my love of nature.
I also do woodwork with treasures found in the mountains.
Many of my wood pieces are sold and used as jewelry trees.
Other pieces are admired and sold as sculpture.
Now that I am semi-retired I have more time to pursue my
love of expressing myself through my art.
